K. J is a 36 year old female who suffered from Myasthenia Gravis (autoimmune disease), this disease makes the body’s immune system to attach the organs in the body, and the muscle is the weakest of them all, which caused paralysis in all of the muscles. She had it since she was 5 years old, the doctors that her parents originally took her to put her on steroids to help increase her muscles, but she still could not walk straight and, because of a lack of balance, would almost fall every time she was walking. She needed to use her hand to help her mouth to chew food, her eyes would not open and it was extremely difficult for her to speak. After 9 years of taking steroids her body no longer responded to it. The doctors then decided it would help to surgically remove her thymus gland, but nothing happened. She then had to take 3-4 tablets per day of a medicine to control the symptoms but without the drug the symptoms would return. K. J can now stop all of the prior medication she was given by other doctors. All of her symptoms were cured; she would walk, open her eyes, eat normally and communicate a lot better.
